Remember To Breathe

My A4 journal so far! This  page was white paper to start off with and I made  my own background.

I was totally influenced by the post that Tim Holtz wrote yesterday - titled 'Remember to Breathe' Tim Holtz is such an inspirational man and I am so grateful for the way in which he inspires me... and so many of us to follow our own artistic journey's.

Sometimes, life just gets too busy. and we need to re group, re evaluate and make time for ourselves...

When my daughter was little she loved Dr Seuss books, I would sit with her snuggled up by me for hours and hours on end reading them, she always loved the pictures. They were precious moments, it's good to sit and still a while. I don't know why they popped into my head today... but I tend to 'go with the flow' where such things are concerned (!) so they jumped into my journal (only a photocopy!) No books were harmed in the making of this page!

The background was done with Black Distress stain and a Tim Holtz stamp inked with Picket Fence Distress Stain and stamped in a chequerboard pattern. Everything else is doodled and dotted... this was very relaxing to make, I wonder why I was so scared of journalling and took so long to start?

Tim's post was inspirational and moving! We can't be super man or woman all the time, and must chillax and breath. Your inspiration here is wonderful. My children, especially the boys loved Dr. Suess as well. Hours went by and several readings of the same book, especially Go Dog Go...lol! I may cry...he is all grown up now. This journal page of yours is fantastic and inspiring as well. Maybe it's time for me to start. I'm so glad you did...it fits you!
