I was so thrilled to be asked to be Guest Designer for this weeks challenge over at Our Creative Corner It is the first time I have done anything like this. This weeks challenge is designed and hosted by Anne Marie Hile Stampin' Anne and is a Colour Inspiration Challenge. Do check out the site if you are not familiar with it, they have a large and very talented DT team and their samples are always an inspiration.
We were asked to create a project using Yellow, Craft and White (or Ivory) Why not join in? Our Creative Corner
I decided to make quite a traditional card, using my new, recently released Michael Powell stamp. I live in Hove, on the South Coast of England and am very close the sea. I loved the natural feel of the colours in the challenge and wanted to reflect this in my sample. I stamped the image onto white card and matted it twice, once onto embossed craft card and again onto Coredinations card. I lightly water coloured the image using my daughter's Derwent Inktense Pencils. Even though I am new to water colouring, these are a sheer joy to use. To embellish, I used several different coloured stickles and a little perfect pearls. Lastly, I stuck a few tiny scraps of calico across the bottom of the card. I was pleased with the result as this really was a different kind of card for me

hi Anna,
your's is the first submission in my second challenge :) :).
This card is so lovely and really depicts the ocean, just beautiful. How lucky are you to live right next to the sea. I actually love the ocean on a cold day which I am sure you experience in England. The colours look fantastic together.
Congratulations on your DT gig, I hope its a very creative time for you, they are lucky to have you on board.
Thanks so much for your lovely words and submitting your card at Anything goes, Just keep on creating. I hope you will continue to play along :)
Congrats on you Guest Designer spot at OCC.
You hit it out of the park with this card. Love the soft colors and I do feel like I'm at the sea when I look at it.
Beautiful creation. Love the little scene you have created.

Gorgeous card, Anna! Congrats on being a guest designer too :)
Super happy for you that you are a guest designer over at Our Creative Corner! And your card is stunning! The scene is amazing, I don't live near the beach. But we have a lake nearby, that's beautiful too.
Hello Anna
I will guarantee this will not be your last Dt spot. You have provided us with the most beautiful card, the colour work and your design depicts the colours of the Challenge perfectly and all who view will be suitably impressed on your interpretation. I congratulate you, and thank-you for providing 'Our Creative Corner' with such inspiration.
Smiles:)

A really gorgeous card Anna and just love the way you've coloured it so softly.
I've just treated myself to some of the new Michael Powell stamps too as I can see beach huts from my window upstairs.
Also I am going to the ICHF show next weekend without my sister in law as she's now doing a charity walk. If you are going and would like to meet up, just drop me a line and let me know when as I can juggle things to go on any day.
Hugs, Fliss xx
